1. Data controller

The controller responsible for data processing under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) is:

2. No user account

Wortivo requires no registration and no user account. Using the app collects neither your name, nor an email address, nor a password.

3. Local storage of vocabulary and learning progress

Your collections, vocabulary, and learning progress (e.g. box assignment, due repetitions) are stored exclusively on your device. None of it is transmitted to the operator’s servers.

4. Camera and photo access

Wortivo only requests access to the camera or photo library when you yourself start a photo import to scan a vocabulary page. Without that user-initiated action, the app does not access your camera or photos.

5. Text recognition (OCR)

Recognizing word pairs in a photo uses Apple’s Vision framework entirely on your device. The photo and the recognized text are never sent to the operator’s servers or to any third party. After recognition, you can review and correct every row before saving.

6. Voice input

When you dictate vocabulary, Wortivo uses Apple’s speech recognition on-deviceby default – your audio never leaves your device. If no offline speech model is installed for the selected language, Wortivo offers to process that one recording online via Apple’s speech recognition service instead. If you choose to do so, Apple processes that audio under its own privacy policy – Wortivo itself never receives or stores that audio.

7. In-app subscriptions and payment processing

Wortivo Pro is an optional subscription purchased exclusively through Apple’s in-app purchase system (StoreKit). Payment processing is handled entirely by Apple; Wortivo and its operator never receive or process any payment or card data. Billing, management and cancellation happen through your Apple account (Settings → Apple Account → Subscriptions).

8. No advertising tracking, no analytics SDKs

Wortivo uses no advertising networks, no personalized advertising, and no third-party analytics or tracking services. No user profiles are created.

9. Required device permissions

Wortivo requests the following permissions, each only when needed:

• Camera – to scan vocabulary pages.
• Photo library – to scan vocabulary pages from selected photos.
• Microphone – to dictate vocabulary.
• Speech recognition – to convert dictated vocabulary into text.

If you decline a permission, the remaining features of Wortivo (e.g. manual entry) remain fully usable.

10. Deleting local data

You can delete individual vocabulary entries, entire collections, or your learning progress at any time directly in Wortivo. Uninstalling Wortivo removes all of the app’s locally stored data from your device.

11. Your rights

Because Wortivo does not transmit personal data to the operator, there is typically no stored user data at the operator to report on. Regardless, under the GDPR you have the right to access (Art. 15), rectification (Art. 16), erasure (Art. 17), restriction of processing (Art. 18), data portability (Art. 20) and objection (Art. 21). 12. Minimum age

Wortivo is designed for a broad audience of vocabulary learners. Since no personal data is collected, using the app itself carries no particular data-protection risk for minors.
